How it works (simple explanation)
A temperature safety valve contains a temperature-sensitive element (such as a thermal probe, wax element, or bi-metal mechanism) that continuously monitors the temperature of the fluid.
- The valve remains closed during normal operating temperatures.
- When the temperature rises above the preset safety limit, the sensing element expands or activates.
